What is a Korean forwarding address and how does it work?
Updated
A Korean forwarding address is a warehouse address in Korea with a personal suite code. You enter it at checkout on a Korean store, the store delivers there, and the forwarding service ships the parcel on to your home country. SeoulDrop's warehouse is in Daejeon, and each account gets its own SD suite code after free sign-up.
How to fill in the address
Search the postal code 34207 or "Haksan-ro 59" (학산로 59) in the store's address finder. Put Apt 202 and your suite code in the detail-address line, and keep the suite code next to your name so the parcel can be matched to you.
What happens after you order
- Pre-register the parcel with the Korean tracking number and the declared value (the amount you paid). The declared value is required for customs.
- When it arrives, we match it to your account and photograph it.
- It waits in your warehouse list: 45 days of free storage, then $0.50 per day up to day 90.
- When you are ready, choose the parcels to send together and request international shipping.
When a forwarding address is not enough
Some stores also need Korean payment or phone verification at checkout. In that case, send us the product link and use proxy buying instead: we place the order for you.
Common questions
Does a forwarding address cost anything to get?
No. Sign-up is free and the suite address is shown in your account. You pay for international shipping and any optional services when you send parcels.
What if a parcel arrives without my suite code?
Pre-registering the tracking number helps us match it. Always keep the suite code next to your name and in the detail-address line.
